The chatbots failed to name the voter’s congressional district 48 percent of the time, and when they did name one, they got it wrong 22 percent of the time. Microsoft Copilot cited a largely AI-built voter site, the Ballot Brief, in 75 percent of its tests, and that site had mapped some ZIP codes to the wrong districts. Amazon paused Alexa’s voter guides after the findings.
